Attila Futaki (1984) is an internationally renowned, Zorád Ernő Award-winning comic book artist and illustrator. He studied at the Scuola Internazionale di Comics academy in Florence. His graphic novel, The Spiral was published first in Hungarian, after in French, called Carabas. He is known for his work on the Percy Jackson book series, which became a New York Times Bestseller. He illustrated the seven issues mini serias called Severed for Image comics with author, Scott Snyder, and he worked on the five series called Conan for Dark Horse. In autumn of 2013 he was invited to illustrate the front page of The New York Times, and he also worked for the Magazine GQ. In addition to the comics he illustrated a volume of poetry by Attila József, and he made the cover of the book, called ’Millenium Expressz’ by Ádám Dávid. He is currently working on the story of a French illegalist, Jules Bonnot, a series of World War I. called Hypnos by Laurent Galandon for the Belgian publisher, Le Lombard, and he is also working on a story called Cimarrons also by Laurent Galandon for the publisher, Casterman. Moreover, he is planning to collaborate with the writer, Péter Esterházy.
